More than 1200 kilometres of signposted cycling paths and trails known as the Moravian Wine Route run through Moravia, which are demarcated and administered by Nadace Partnerství (the Partnership Foundation). As soon as you hit on the wine-path symbol, the silhouette of a cellar, you know you are on the right track. The trails zigzag through the wine lands, turning to observation points, going down streets in the cellars settlements and connecting many famous wine communes. You will thus get acquainted with the picturesque Moravian landscape with its singular historical landmarks and wonderful wines. The majority of the paths lead you along quiet roadways, through the meadows or woodland paths where you can travel by ordinary roadgoing bicycle as well as on a mountain bike.
Apart from the wine trails operated by the Partnership Foundation (Nadace Partnerství) you can also get acquainted with matters vinous and other related interests through local educational wine trails, such as the Stará Hora trail in the commune of Novosedly, or the connecting paths which the wine communes are constructing between the vineyards and villages, which will bring the winemaking tradition of their region closer to the tourist. There are also trails such as the Trail through the land of the André grape variety at Velké Pavlovice, or the Trail of the Moravian Muscat grape variety, which goes through Polešovice, the very village that gave birth to this Moravian grape variety. The same for goes for André, crossed in the Wine research Centre of Velké Pavlovice.
